Dr. Ronald Ramkissoon

Dr Ronald Ramkissoon was re-appointed as the Chairman of the Trinidad and Tobago Fair Trading Commission on April 03rd 2024 by Her Excellency Christine Carla Kangaloo, President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago having previously served as the Chairman of the Trinidad and Tobago Fair Trading Commission since April 3rd 2018 and April 07th 2021 respectively.

Dr Ramkissoon studied Economics at the University of the West Indies where he gained his B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees.

Dr Ramkissoon retired from Republic Bank Limited, one of the Caribbean’s largest commercial banks in 2013. He was the Bank’s Senior Economist and Manager of its Economic Intelligence Unit. Prior to working in Republic Bank, Dr Ramkissoon was employed as an Economist at the Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago.

Dr Ramkissoon also served previously on several business and public sector Boards and Committees including the Trinidad and Tobago Economic Development Advisory Board (EDAB), the Telecommunications Authority of Trinidad and Tobago (TATT), the CARICOM Development Fund (CDF) and the Caribbean Association of Industry and Commerce (CAIC).
